In order for satellite service to be activated, a SIM card is required (for both mobile satellite services and DSL service).  Thuraya prepaid solutions (Super SIM, Easy Plan, Thuraya DSL) offer a rechargeable account that allows you to refill with Thuraya Scratch Cards whenever you wish and for as much as you want; thus giving you total freedom and control of your telephone usage.

Thuraya scratch cards are offered in different calling values namely 50, 80 and 160 units.  These voucher cards are 14-digit codes that you need to enter when you refill your account.

Upon conversion to SUPER SIM, the subscriber will enjoy the following.

Refill methods:

• Dialing from your handset:  You can refill your account directly by dialing 150 from from your Thuraya Handset. Please note that you only have 3 attempts before the phone gets blocked.
• Refill using SMS to 150 (message – 14-digit scratch card PIN code, starting and ending with #).
• Refill online at http://services.thuraya.com
• Recharge by dialing toll free 800 numbers from anywhere and anytime… Once you dial the 800 toll free number, you will hear it ring several times and then you will be automatically disconnected. Soon afterwards you will receive an SMS with the scratch card information. Dial 800 11 039: For 39 units credit, dial 800 11 080: For 80 units credit, dial 800 11 160: For 160 units credit.

Note:

There are no annual registration fees or other hidden credit card charges. Only a nominal onetime US$1 credit card verification fee is charged for Thuraya prepaid subscribers at the time of registration.

Features:

• Reminder messages are sent during the 15 days prior to account expiration date.
• If sufficient credit is available, the account can be renewed within these 15 days by calling 150 and selecting option 6.
• If sufficient credit is available on the last active date, the account is automatically renewed. The renewal is confirmed in a message.
• If account is not renewed as above grace period is granted. During this period the account will be automatically renewed if the subscriber refills the account with the required amount.
