The mobile satellite telecommunications services offered by Thuraya include the following: Voice (GSM quality), Fax (ITU-T G3 at 9.6 kbps), Data, (9.6 kbps), Messaging (SMS), Global Positioning System (GPS) (within 100 meters accuracy), and Mobile Satellite Internet Services (GmPRS).

ThurayaDSL Services provide cost-effective solutions for corporate customers, government agencies, NGOs, news-gathering agencies and individuals for their high-speed data requirements, even in areas where competitive high speed Internet access is not available.

The benefits and applications of ThurayaDSL include reliable high-speed connectivity (up to 144 Kbps anywhere within Thuraya’s coverage area), and access to the following services and applications:

Thuraya GmPRS (Mobile Satellite Internet Service)

Thuraya SO-2510 and Thuraya SG-2520 are the first and only satellite mobile handsets in the world to offer GmPRS (Geo Mobile Packet Radio Service) providing continuous Internet connectivity.

Subscribers can enjoy reliable Internet access and efficient data transmission at speeds of up to 60/15 Kbps downlink/uplink. FREE ThurayaCase:  Subscribers are provided with free online storage space of 5 MB.  Subscribers can save files online and retrieve them using any FTP client.
